JOB SUMMARY

 

8x8 is seeking a creative, ambitious and intellectually capable Director of Content Marketing to join our team to be responsible for leading the investigation, story creation and content to both further develop and execute upon 8x8’s overall brand positioning, value propositions, competitive differentiation, and industry leadership. This role will develop content marketing stories for their deployment into assets used in lead generation campaigns, PR/corporate communications, social media, employer brand support, and other channels.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to drive content strategy and creation for a company with both the appetite and market potential for billion-dollar growth.

Reporting directly to VP of Global Brand and Marcom, this position is based in San Jose, CA.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with 8x8 executives, sales professionals, customers and industry thought leaders to identify the own-able, open territory that resonates with prospective customers
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create specific content and PR support of programs and other content priorities as outlined in the editorial calendar
  • Collaborate with marketing execs to refine messages in real time and provide insight to other functions including demand generation, product marketing and communications.
  • Provide copyedit support to other teams as defined for external-facing materials
  • Identify and supervise 3rd party writers
  • Work with the internal creative services team to execute programs, events and campaigns globally
  • Manage the use SEO methods in content assets to increase discovery
  • Manage the distribution of content via corporate social media channels and online platforms
  • Contribute toward content function’s KPIs by improving content assets and trying other new ideas to meet established goals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10-15 years’ experience developing content strategy and successful content programs in the B2B/Tech space
  • Experience in SaaS space a plus
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams/disciplines
  • Working knowledge of the PR function
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with AP Style
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Exceptional project management skills
