About the Job



8x8, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Corporate Events Sr. Manager/Director located in San Jose, CA that will plan and execute powerful presence and programs at key industry events and create high impact “owned” events globally.

 In this role, you will:

  • Develop a global corporate event strategy and executional plans aimed at elevating 8x8’s brand, creating meaningful conversations with prospective customers and engaging deeply with existing 8x8 customers and users.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in and outside of marketing to ensure a one brand, one voice presence at all events.
  • Ensure ROI by building in an integrated demand generation motion for pre-during-post show activity.
  • Leverage contract & vendor negotiations, manage and monitor budgets, POs, invoices and all aspects of pre-event procurement and post-event reconciliation.
  • Support demand generation teams and segment-specific events with strategic and executional guidance as well as owning the lead generation process for strategic/corporate events.


  • Define objectives, strategies and approaches for 8x8’s presence at key industry events
  • Craft and deliver 8x8 User Group strategy, working closely with the Customer Advocacy group; manage the deployment and growth of the User Groups from regional to national and beyond
  • Effectively work cross-functionally to deliver against our communication program that leverages events to drive top of funnel leads
  • Define, project manage and execute on event program goals, messagingtactics, audience generation/email campaigns, speaker plan, collateral, post-show lead processing & follow-up and other logistics
  • Leverage and optimize all opportunities of an event including all marketing programs, demand generation tactics, PR/Analyst initiatives, social media, and other brand & customer acquisition initiatives
  • Coordinate and execute pre-to-post show event marketing strategiesfacilitate lead funneling, collect post-event feedback and develop post event reports and analysis
  • Leverage contract & vendor negotiations, manage and monitor budgets, POs, invoices and all aspects of pre-event procurement land post-event reconciliation. Oversee & monitor event properties, assets
  • Identify and research events, sponsorships and face-to-face marketing platforms that align to corporate. Own event strategy with tight ROI assessment criteria for event participation
  • Lead post-event data collection, Marketo & tracking and reporting
  • Travel  25-30% of the time 


  • 5-7years corporate eventand program management 
  • Past experience presenting as a strong and effective ambassador at events, creating impactful customer experiences and driving successful customer acquisition and brand positioning
  • Demand gen experience in driving pre-during-post activities to drive ROI a must
  • Proven resourceful nature with the ability to make sound and time-sensitive decisions independently
  • Demonstrated self-directed individual who is exceptionally organized and analytical
  • Must be successful multi-tasking, prioritizing, and setting accurate timelines
  • Proven track record of complex event programs with varied stakeholders
  • Understanding the market, technology, product portfolio, positioning and competitors to help support event strategy and tactics
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels in an organization and external vendors
