About the Job



We are looking for a Director/Sr. Director Enterprise Customer Demand Generation for a demand market leader in the cloud based, unified communications space.  The company is investing in building out the marketing team to accelerate growth in this $20B market that is growing at 50% annually.  Demand generation is at the epicenter of the company, driving the Go-To-Market strategy and execution for target market segments.  With this role, you will have an opportunity to team with a collaborative, enthusiastic CMO, with a passion for the product, while building a world class, global demand generation engine.  This role is located in San Jose.

You will work closely with our existing customers and our enterprise installed-base sales organization.  In addition, key relationships will include marketing ops and analytics, media relations, demand and product marketing to build the tools and programs to deliver on pipeline targets.  You will be responsible for driving business results that hit pipeline and revenue goals. This role will be responsible for the strategy, GTM plans, segmentation and full demand marketing for our enterprise customers, working closely with the other marketing leaders.


This is a high impact position and previous experience in demand generation/solution/segment marketing or a related function is required.  In addition, you must possess a record of success in SaaS, software or technology marketing, delivering measurable results.  You must understand and love Go-To-Market and be comfortable switching between strategy and execution.  You need to have the confidence and leadership skills to influence cross functional teams and command respect across all organizational levels and be comfortable in a fast paced, high growth environment. 



  • Accelerate pipeline build from our global enterprise customer base



  • Own the entire GTM and marketing plan for 8x8s enterprise customers
  • Deeply understand the buyers and competitors
  • Create strategy and justify  targeted sub-segments - Develop strategic plans for sub-segments including market positioning and value propositions
  • Continuously define and optimize funnel dynamics and commensurate budgets
  • Drive messaging and content strategies that appeal to potential and existing customers
  • Translate programs and strategy into measurable pipeline and closed revenue
  • Lead go-to-market efforts for new initiatives through coordination across the marketing organization
  • Effectively present directly to customers in deals or events



  • Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment and switch rapidly from strategy to execution
  • Highly skilled at critical decision-making; ability to evaluate business issues and resolve problems; ability to develop and write a business plan
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering targeted marketing plan for a defined space, with content, messaging, marketing mix that drive pipeline, higher win rates, and revenue
  • Experience B2B marketing or selling
  • Experience with marketing automation, campaign management, digital marketing or email marketing platforms a plus
  • Vertical/industry and ABM go to market experience
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong public speaking and highly effective presentation skills to large audiences both live and virtual
  • Ability to work across organizational lines, command respect, and influence without authority
  • Experience conducting and analyzing market and competitive research
  • Strong writing skills for content/collateral creation
  • Ability to travel required (20%) 
  • Bachelor's degree, an MBA considered valuable, strong plus
