About the Job



8x8, Inc. is looking for a Solution Marketing Director located in San Jose, CA who will be responsible for positioning and marketing of 8x8’s enterprise cloud communications portfolio. This individual will be responsible for leading vertical and line of business solution marketing, from ideation and market understanding to full-stack messaging and launches.




Create and own all solutions and vertical go-to-market planning and execution

Which Use Cases?

    • Research, prioritize and define target use cases
  • Field Enablement
    • Lead solution and product positioning to differentiate 8x8 use case offerings
    • Create messaging collateral and marketing campaigns that fit key customer segment and buyer persona needs to increase acquisition and leads for sales
    • Collaborate with Sales to understand & support ongoing enablement, but maximize impact of messaging for the audience
    • Plan and execute product/feature launches across cross-functional teams and related sales enablement.
    • Measure and report on solution marketing and sales
  • Roadmap
    • Draft and present market requirements documents (MRD) to ensure that product roadmaps align with the go to market plan
    • Work with Product Management to establish a continuous feedback loop to influence the product development roadmap, prioritize features and enhancements, and create mitigation for product gaps



  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of solution/product marketing experience, preferably in

          customer experience, collaboration or software-as-a-service (SaaS) industries

  • Proven record of driving a solution to market
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm and empathy for genuinely improving how technology helps people better engage

          and communicate with one another

  • Articulate and very skilled at telling a written or visual story in a simple straightforward way
  • Can quickly synthesize disparate data into a ‘position’ and craft messaging that connects with

          both internal stakeholders and customers

  • Decisive, Agile, and Iterative; easily able to shift gears between thinking and doing
  • Skilled at both planning and hands-on execution
  • Can effectively balance quantitative evidence and qualitative factors to quickly test and learn

         (avoiding analysis paralysis)

  • Can start multiple initiatives at the same time and energetically pursue them to show continued

          iterative progress
