    The AI and Machine Learning team at 8x8 is responsible for designing and delivering the intelligent features that make 8x8 products operate with greater contextual relevance while
    being user-friendly. This team is looking for a Machine Learning Algorithms Engineer that has experience in working with datasets, preferably in the telecom industry to design, implement, and evaluate cutting-edge, data-driven algorithms that will help 8x8 unified  communication products understand and intelligently respond to customer needs.

     What you will do:

    .

    • Design and prototype algorithms that run on cloud based big data environments.
      · Develop feature specifications and performance metrics to capture requirements
      · Assemble representative data sets and use them to train and test new algorithms
      · Analyze complex multimodal sensor data (e.g., audio, video, motion) to optimize and evaluate algorithm performance in the field
      · Document designs and report results to product management on a regular basis
      · Identify opportunities for new algorithms and hardware improvements for future products
       

     

    What you need:


    • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
      · Fluency in Python
      · First-hand experience with a variety of machine learning and pattern recognition techniques
      · Knowledge of cutting-edge algorithms in areas such as computer vision, audio recognition, gesture/activity recognition, robotics, sensor fusion, and signal processing
      · 5+ years of industry experience shipping high quality sensor-based products and data-driven algorithms
      · 5 + years of strong data analysis skills, including principal component analysis, working with Recurrent neural networks
      · Intuitive ability to see a complex problem from many perspectives
      · Organized, detail-oriented and pragmatic
      · Thrives in both independent work and in collaboration on a multi-disciplinary team
      · Experience in working on datasets related to industry verticals, preferably telecom or finance

     

    Nice to have:

    • MS/ Ph.D. or 2+ years of work in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
