    8x8, a Silicon Valley company and leader in Cloud Communications, is in need of a Second Line Engineer with strong Network administration skills. Reporting to the UK IT Support Manager, with a dotted line to the US IT Manager. The main purpose of this role is to provide technical IT support to our users, Networking support and Network administration. Must have a can do attitude and a smile!

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

    • Delivery of very high-quality customer service and IT support to all internal customers
    • Primarily resolving or assisting in the resolution of, faults on a face to face basis with our user population, both locally, at satellite offices or at sites as necessary
    • Conscientiously and diligently recording all Incidents and activities to resolve, on the ITSM tool
    • Network Infrastructure Support (Firewall, Patching)
    • Building and issuing IT equipment
    • Assist in maintaining an accurate IT Asset Inventory
    • Software and hardware installations
    • Liaise with all support functions within the IT Department as required to facilitate knowledge transfer and knowledge article creation
    • Support SOHO environments (printing/broadband/installations etc)
    • Software and hardware procurement

    • Network Infrastructure Support
    • Wireless Access Point Administration
    • Wireless networking with Aruba or similar
    • Perform Preventive Maintenance (Servers/Network/Wi-Fi)
    • Cisco Networking (CCNA minimum) & Palo Alto Firewalls
    • Active Directory Administration and Group Policy
    • G-Suite Administration
    • Atlassian Suite for ITSM
    • Desktop Management Tools
    • Voice / Video Management Support
    • Antivirus Management and Support (McAfee Preferred)
    • VMware virtualization

    Nice to have:

    • AWS design, create, deploy and manage
    • NetApp Storage
    • PowerShell and JavaScript to automate processes


    • CCNA
    • ITIL Foundation Certificate
    • Technical qualifications (e.g. Comptia A+; MCP / MCSE / AWS / GCP / Azure)
    • Experience in providing customer focused end user support
    • Strong technical aptitude with a can-do attitude!
