    Senior Business Systems Analyst - Salesforce


    Job Description

    We’re looking for a “solution-minded” Business Systems Analyst that has a passion for data and is excited to work and build on the Salesforce platform.  This role will be responsible for delivering enhancements to how we capture, manage, and analyze data across all of our processes so that the company’s leadership can derive insights to increase revenue.  


    The Senior Business Systems Analyst will cover a broad range of topics, including:

    1. Rethink legacy processes with the goal of optimizing for better data collection and data management without slowing down our sales/marketing processes
    2. Develop solution for existing processes that are responsible for sub-optimal data collection and enrichment.  
    3. Rethink and optimize our data governance strategy
    4. Optimize our Gainsight implementation to predict churn and drive add-on orders
    5. Support the company’s initiatives related to the expansion of the Data Lake & Analytics capabilities


    This is a challenging role.  The projects will have a noticeable and immediate impact on the company’s reporting and decision making process.   




    • Manage roadmap:  Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements, and systems goals
    • Manipulate large sets of data; be comfortable with using tools for data enrichment, enhancement and correction such as Demand Tools, SQL database etc
    • Facilitate discussions among business owners to determine the best solution to roadmap of enhancements through working sessions, new process mapping, and process redefinitions
    • Document business process flows and requirements for the roadmap of enhancements
    • Lead the delivery of key enhancements by directly making configuration changes in Salesforce or Developing the requirements / design specifications and delivering it to our internal development team for completion
    • Identify test criteria and test new functionality/enhancements

    Required Skills

    • Track record of managing large data sets:  extracting large data set out of Salesforce and reinserting it back as a different object
    • Experience with Demand Tools, Tableau integration with Salesforce
    • Experience with SQL, Python a plus
    • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Physics or comparable technical degree
    • Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience as a business systems analyst on the Salesforce platform
    • Knowledge of Boomi a big plus but not required
    • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
    • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical  and investigative skills
    • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
    • Highly self-motivated and directed
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
